2025: The Year We Proved We Weren't Just Talking...

What a year! We actually did it—we achieved our goal of slow (world) travel. This whole crazy dream started 37 years ago, when engaged, we decided we'd retire and dedicate ourselves to seeing the world. We met back in 1986 at TWA SFO, instantly bonding over a shared love of travel and a mutual desire to explore this planet together. Now, we've officially clocked over 16 months of continuous, glorious travel across the Americas, Asia, and Europe. We've made new friends, reconnected with old ones, and are constantly plotting our next chapter. Most importantly, we've successfully eaten our way across three continents and savored every single, wonderful bite.

The Year's Hilarious & Humbling Highlights:

• We became Expats living it up (actually experiencing local living) in Panama, Malaysia, Guam, Vietnam, and Italy.

• We practically moved into hotels (over 130 nights!) and leveled up our loyalty game, achieving Diamond Elite with IHG, Discoverist with Hyatt, and Gold with Accor. Our mail is probably still being forwarded to a Crowne Plaza somewhere in Southeast Asia.

• We stress-tested the healthcare system outside the US in Malaysia—and it was genuinely excellent. Who knew getting sick could be an adventure?

• We joined the cool kids other mature adults and met up with our favorite YouTube retirement travel influencers in Asia and Cental America.

• We started building a community in Panama, proving that we're capable of more than just packing a suitcase and booking a flight.

About this Site:

This is a draft, just a placeholder until we have the rest of our content prepared. The "next" version of this will be on Wordpress and will look 1000% better. It will be ready "in two weeks"...just like the replacement for the ACA. Seriously, my 2026 Resolution is to publish a "proper" blog and ajoining Youtube channel which will focus on mobile accessible travel. I even bought a video camera. Now I just need to figure out how to shoot, edit, publish, promote, manage comments, monetize, affliate link, social media cross-promotion, interview, create graphics, add a theme song....jeez, maybe I will just publish a blog and then take a nap.
